BRIDAL RETAKE (HAIR & AIRBRUSH MAKEUP)

Today i had the pleasure (again) of working w/ Kari--my October bride.

she needed to retake her bridal photos and booked me for hair & airbrush makeup! she was an absolute joy to work with and she loved her look!

UNRULY HAIR!!!

I comb my daughters hair for school every morning.............she is currently wearing a "partial sew-in" so i have to pay close attention to her hair to make sure no tracks are loose, showing or coming out and because this hair she has in right now isnt the best (not remy-LOL) it has to be flat ironed daily!

QUICK PIC TUTORIAL: BROWS & EYE MAKEUP

Here is the first of many makeup tutorials or demos via pics!! i will soon be doing video tutorials and demos, but until then, i will be posting pics of different makeup looks! WHENEVER THE MOOD HITS ME -- LOL

BROWS:

the brows frame the face so it is very important that your brows are groomed/shaped properly and if done correctly you wont need to wear anything else but lipgloss!

here are a few pics on how to do "clean" brows:

before (clean bare face)

added concealer 1 - 2 shades lighter

added eyebrow powder (MAC) w/ an angel brush; blend out concealer = PERFECT BROW!!

once you have "framed" your face and you want to add some color to your eyes but dont want to add any drama, nice neutral colors can be added

here are a few pics of the "natural eye" or daytime look:

highlight brow bone; added taupe eyeshadow on lid up to crease & blend, add dk brown eyeshadow to outer corner of eye & blend up & into the crease

added dk brown eye kohl (MAC Teddy) on top & bottom line = PERFECTLY NATURAL

if you need to take your "daytime" look to "night" or just want alittle drama--bold colors are always great! you can even kick it up by adding lashes!

here is are some examples of alittle drama:

added dark blue eyeshadow on the outer corners & crease & blend up; add black eyeliner and lightly smudge; line over it w/ a dk blue creme eyeliner

= DRAMA!!

**there was no foundation or facial powder in this demo--that will explain any uneven complexion color

**i NEVER photoshop my pics, what you see is what you get!

**there were no lashes added to any look

SCHOOL IS IN SESSION!!

This is the 1st week of school and my kids were super cute upon their return! Like many mothers around the globe i took pics of the 1st day as well as the 2nd, 3rd, etc.!! No matter how old they get the 1st week is major!!

For a fab face in under 10 min here is the recipe:

1. Apply Urban Decay Primer Potion all over your eyelids

2. Apply Smashbox Foundation Primer on your face

3. Dust on a MAC mineral powder (you chose a color) on the eyelids up the crease & blend

4. Brush on your foundation or powder

5. Dust the same MAC mineral powder on the apples of the cheeks

6. Apply L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara (Carbon Black) 2 coats

7. Apply fav lip gloss (Iman, L'Oreal Juicy Tube, NARS)

Then you are ready to hit the streets!! Ok, go ahead try it...........

Today Anne of ARMakeup and I worked w/ Kari to get her ready to take her Bridal portraits!!!

Anne did her airbrush makeup and I did her hair! Kari was a joy to work with! and she was beautiful!

BABY SHOWER BEAUTY!!!

My friend Liz contacted me to do her hair & makeup for her baby shower!! she didnt want to be bothered w/ trying to get herself together that day.....she wanted to sit & relax and get "dolled up" so she brought me some pictures of what she wanted and i delivered!!
